Summary: Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.
Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.
Ship: Cinder & Kai, Scarlet & Wolf
Fave Cinnamon Rolls: Thorne
Needed BROTP: The Rampion Crew
It has been a few months since I read Cinder but i was immediately reestablished into this series merely pages into book 2. I was intrigued by the new characters and loved some of the new scenery as the plot began to swirl and thicken.
Levana & Adri continue to battle it out for who I hate more. There are new adorable characters that I just cant help but love the stupidity of.
In book 2 of the Lunar Chronicles you meet and get to know Scarlet (i know shocker) a farmer looking for her grandmother, Wolf a streetfighter with secrets, and Cadet, sorry, Captain Carswell Thorne who is part Diva girl part Captain Jack Sparrow,
Cinder, Iko & Kai all make great appearneces and added to the plot. Cinder kinda finds out more about her past and the big secret Dr. Erland dropped on her at the end of book 1.
I enjoyed diving back into this world quite a bit and I can’t wait to read book 3 & 4.
